weddings

Weddings at Little Hallingbury Mill are a special occasion and very much geared to the small intimate reception. With our restaurant comfortably holding 50 people for a buffet reception or 40 for a sit down meal, the natural ambience immediately gives receptions a special quality. So often small weddings have to rattle around in a too big venue, but not here.

From the first meeting with the couple, we aim to work in liaison with them to ensure their every wish is taken into consideration.

Our Charges:

Venue hire and deposit

A charge of £150 is made for the hire of the restaurant for your reception. We require a non-returnable deposit of £100 in order to secure your booking. We are finding that many couples want to take over the whole hotel so that their guests can stay and not have to worry about driving home. We offer a discount when the whole guesthouse (24 rooms) are booked – please contact us for a quotaion.

We recommend a total of three meetings prior to the wedding. The first meeting is to discuss your plans, your menu, etc. The second meeting we recommend holding no later than two months before the wedding, in order to give us plenty of time to get down to the finer points, and finally three weeks prior to the wedding day to make sure every detail is in place and as you wish it to be.

Our menus and prices (see under restaurant)

We offer a superb selection of menus for you to choose from with hot sit down meals priced at £15.95, £19.95 and £22.50 per person. Alternatively you may wish to have a buffet for your guests, and they are priced at £8.50, £13.95 and £19.95 per person. We also offer a finger buffet selection.

In the event you don’t see what you have in mind, we will be more than happy to discuss alternatives with you. So if you fancy good old English fish and chips at your reception, then just ask! We appreciate some couples have to work to a strict budget, so please do not be afraid to say so. We are always happy to discuss the possibilities.

Wines

There is something to please every pallet and every pocket in our superb wine list. Our housewine starts at just £8.50 a bottle and between that and the Dom Perignon at £95.00 a bottle, there is bound to be something suitable. As you will see, each wine is accompanied by a description, so you don’t need to be a wine buff to make your choice.
